NEW! Weaving for My Walls
Instructor: Cherri Hankins
Tapestry weaving is a means of transforming visual images into a tactile art form. The diversity of small loom weaving, and the simplicity of a single shedding device make tapestry weaving the perfect approach to weaving on a budget. The basics of tapestry weaving will be taught and re-enforced as students set-up their looms, experiment with techniques, and create a tapestry sampler. Finishing methods and mounting suggestions will be discussed so students can turn the sampler into a wall hanging.
