Weave Magazine Release Party November 9, 2008

Weave Magazine will host an evening of poetry and music to celebrate the release of its inaugural issue. The event will be hosted in Lawrenceville, Pa., at Your Inner Vagabond Coffeehouse & World Lounge on November 9th, 2008 beginning at 5:00pm.

The event will include poetry readings from the first issue, silent auction, musical performances and the sale of works by local artists. The event is free and open to the public.

The first issue of Weave Magazine will also be for sale.

Weave Magazine is a Pittsburgh-based literary publication, promoting a local cross-section of established and novice authors and artists. In addition, Weave hosts prose, poetry and performance art workshops. Weave Magazine was recently awarded a Seed Award from The Sprout Fund.

Weave Magazine is published by Margaret Bashaar of Pittsburgh and Laura Davis of Bethel Park. The inspiration for Weave has come from a desire to build connections for the creative talent of Pittsburgh. Weave seeks to create a space for a cross-section of writers and artists of all walks of life to meet on the page, on the stage, and in workshop.
