‘We Welcome Families Week’ 2011 Closing Event September 9, 2011

‘We Welcome Families Week’ has returned this year with attractive promotions, discounts and special packages to families! During the week, businesses and families alike can experience for themselves, the benefits of family-friendly business features. With close to 70 discounts offered by more than 50 businesses, everyone will have more reasons to shop, eat and play with their families this September holiday.

Families will be able to find out more information on the participating family-friendly businesses in the ‘We Welcome Families’ Handy Guide, which is available at selected Businesses for Families Council (BFC) community outlets. Alternatively, the guide is also available for download in the ‘We Welcome Families’ Micosite, www.wewelcomefamilies.sg.

The closing event on 10 September, at nex shopping mall will be lined-up with exciting and fun-filled activities and games for families to enjoy a memorable time together! Be entertained by fun puppet shows and clown performances and families can participate in the various stage games to win attractive prizes. Experience fun family times by doing activities such as colouring and board games together at the family corner.

Look out for the exciting ‘We Welcome Families Week’ Race at our closing event where families will outwit and outrun each other in the race across the island!

The highly-anticipated ‘We Welcome Families’ photo contest will continue until 29 September. Families are welcome join the contest by displaying their ‘creativity’ through family pictures that showcase family-friendly features of their favourite family-friendly businesses. There will be a booth set up at the closing event and interested families will able to upload their photos directly at the stations.

Families can also enjoy the firsthand experience on the features of the ‘We Welcome Families’ microsite. There will be live demonstration to guide them through the features and teach them how to install the ‘We Welcome Families’ Mobile Application.
