WE PLAYERS PRESENTS ITS LATEST SITE-SPECIFIC WORK:
MACBETH AT HISTORIC FORT POINT.
We Players present performance events that transform public spaces into realms of participatory theater. Using the works of Shakespeare to discuss current issues in local landscapes, we invite the audience to engage physically and awaken to the spectacular world around us.
Join us for an interactive experience of Shakespeare's MACBETH staged throughout FORT POINT, the Civil War Fort in the Presidio located directly beneath the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on September 5, 6, 7 and Sept 12, 13, 14. The play begins at the entrance to Fort Point at 5:30 p.m. and reservations, which can be made through the We Players website (www.weplayers.org), are required. Important safety information found on the website.
Please note - this is a full immersion Macbeth experience. The Fort is often windy, cold, and foggy. Dress prepared for blustery, gray Scotland, and wear solid shoes for navigating the stone passageways and spiral staircases.
Fort Point is a national historic landmark, run by the National Parks Service. Visit: http://www.nps.gov/fopo
