Dog-Eared Pages is proud to present “We Love Our Local Authors” day; Saturday, June 12 from 11-6.
Join us throughout the day to meet some of our local writers and have them sign your book.
Here are a few of the authors who will be attending:
Colleen Sugden, author of Hatchet Man, the first exciting book in Colleen’s Samantha Cross series. Coleen lives in Arizona with her husband and her two daughters and is working on the next Samantha Cross book.
Gayle Noble author of Breathe 52 Oxygen-Rich Tools for Loving and Living Well with Autism this
In Breathe, Gayle offers nourishment in the form of short vignettes and specific life-tested tools –her special elixirs that help her continue to thrive rather than merely survive – on her lifelong journey with her son. Breathe is a useful antidote to anger and negativity where the reader finds guidance for living, loving, and thriving now, not in some possible future without autism. Breathe is poetic, yet practical: not just for parents of children with autism, but as a guide for living and parenting.
Gayle is the coauthor of It’s All About Attitude: Loving and Living Well with Autism. She holds a BA in Special Education, and directed an intensive home therapy program for 11 years for her autistic son Kyle, who is now 26. During that time she trained over 100 volunteer therapists and aides in the attitude she writes and speaks about.
Originally from New York, Gayle is an author, inspirational speaker, and also a sister to a 49 year-old brother with autism. She lives with her husband and three children in Arizona.
Karen Cafarella, author of Genuinely Organize: A Simple Guide to a Clutter Free Life. Karen lives in Phoenix, with her husband and her two sons and their dog Sox. In addition to running her own organizing business, she speaks at women’s groups. As a freelance writer she writes articles for various community papers on organizing and other subjects.
Bill Lamperes, author of Depositions and Bar Exam: Tavern Tales and Reflections. Dr. Bill Lamperes recently completed a career in public education as a teacher, principal, college professor and consultant. He lives in Glendale and is currently working on his next book, Voices.
