WCLT Trees of Downtown Westborough: Walk Tour May 23, 2010

Join Dr. Scott Shumway to search for the tallest deciduous tree species in Eastern North America, a medicinally important tree from China, a species with more than 400 different varieties, the original Christmas tree, the state tree of Massachusetts, some of the most ancient of all flowering plants, and a few invasive aliens. Professor of Biology at Wheaton College, Scott teaches courses in botany, marine biology, and environmental science. He is the author of the Naturalist’s Guide to the Atlantic Seashore and a WCLT Director.
