"The Wayne Wallace Latin Jazz Quintet" is a group that epitomizes what improvisational music is about. The band’s repertoire is an eclectic mix of originals and standards that alternate between Jazz and Afro-Caribbean musical styles. Composed of some the best musicians in the genre, the quintet swings with emotion and virtuosity. The group - consisting of Wayne Wallace on trombone, Murray Low on piano, Michael Spiro on percussion, David Belove on bass and Paul Van Wageningen on trap drums - has just recorded their debut CD for release later this year.
The concert will be followed by an artist reception where concert-goers are invited to meet the artist and his band, enjoy refreshments and purchase CDs.
