Wayne Escoffery and Veneration June 19, 2007

Tenor saxophonist Wayne Escoffery is a powerful soloist and a gifted bandleader like his mentor Jackie McLean. He has worked notably with Eric Reed and Tom Harrell, as well as releasing four recordings as a leader. His Veneration band features Ryan Kisor on trumpet, Joe Locke on vibraphone, Joe Martin on bass, and Ali Jackson on drums.
