This Memorial Day weekend, Watson’s House of Ales at 14656 Grisby Road near the intersection of I-10 West and Beltway 8, will host a special fundraiser benefiting Helping a Hero, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing adapted homes, services and resources for severely injured military personnel.
From Thursday, May 20th through Monday, May 31, the popular neighborhood pub and restaurant will sell display badges to customers for $1 and $5 to benefit Helping a Hero. The badges will be displayed throughout the pub during this time frame.
Special festivities are planned for Sunday, May 30th, when Watson’s will have a backyard patio bash featuring crawfish and free, live music from Sammy Hundley and The Elroys throughout the day.
Helping a Hero is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-partisan organization providing support for military personnel, severely injured in the war on terror. Its principal activity is to provide specially adapted homes for qualifying service members as well as engaging the community to provide services and resources for our wounded heroes and their families.
Watson’s House of Ales, 281- 920-2929, is open seven days a week 11am – 2 am.
