By J. Eric Anderson Capturing landscapes from rural Northwest Illinois and Wisconsin, to the fishing lakes of Minnesota, from the deserts of the Southwest to the misty shores of the Northwest, this Stockton, Illinois artist brings to you the essence of these places with his watercolor art. He is known for conceptualizing his subject matter to reflect the importance of composition, perspective, line, mass patterns and color. He is also highly skilled in employing textured washes to reinforce these elements in his work. Anderson's paintings have been selected for numerous juried exhibits. His painting titled "Top of the State" was commissioned by the Jo Daviess County Illinois Convention and Visitors Bureau for their "Take the High Road" campaign for Galena territory in Northwest Illinois. It was published in the May issue of Oprah's O Magazine, and during April in the Chicago Tribune Magazine, AAA Home & Away Magazine, and North Shore Magazine. Admission is free.
