Water Study September 30, 2010

Water Study was choreographed by Doris Humphrey in 1928. Inspired by the forces of gravity and the universal principles of movement, Water Study is a timeless, beautiful, and physically challenging piece danced in silence. The Children’s Dance Theatre (CDT) has received permission from the family trust and the National Dance Notation Bureau twice in the past and feels honored to have the opportunity to perform this treasured piece again this year with Repertory Dance Theatre. Water Study was last performed by CDT in 1996.
