Inspired by the Reclaiming the Edge exhibition, Kwelismith sings water songs from a repertoire of spirituals, folk songs, popular songs, and jazz standards. Kweli sings that the river has been a symbol of everything from baptisms, betrayals, and love relationships to freedom, identity, and even death.
