Featuring magnificent bass singer Gary Poster with superb string quartet ensemble composed of Sally McLain and June Huang, violins, Betty Hauck, viola, and Amy Leung, cello, along with soprano saxophone Rhonda Buckley, to perform the deeply moving Cantata 82, "Ich habe genug," by JS Bach. Also, Gabriel Fauré's ecstatic song cycle, "La Bonne Chanson" for mezzo soprano, string quartet, and piano, with mezzo Karyn Friedman - one of the most uplifting and beautiful French vocal works in the entire literature. Finally, Ernest Bloch's Piano Quintet #1 from 1922, a uniquely powerful musical venture into Jewish mysticism. You don't get to hear music like this every day!
