The Las Cruces Museum of Art is hosting Warhol Factory Weekends in February and March for children to explore Andy Warhol’s art-making process. Young artists (limited to ages 9-12) will create silk-screen prints, with ink on paper, using the same methods as Andy Warhol. Printing materials, paper, and instructions are provided. Participants may also bring their own t-shirts or other canvas accessories to print upon, if desired. Registration begins at 9 AM on the day of each workshop and class space is available on a first come first serve basis. Class size is limited to ten participants. The workshop fee is $5.00 per class.
Warhol Factory Weekends will take place on the following Saturdays from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: February 13, February 20, March 13, and March 20. The new exhibition, “Warhol & Pop Art,” will be on display at the Museum from Friday, February 5 through Saturday, April 3.
