Whiskey Sky brings Martini & Rossi’s “Warhol’s Take on Taste” campaign to Chicago in an exclusive exhibit that will be showcased from November 19th –December 19th. Before pioneering the Pop Art movement and becoming one of the most famous artists of all time, Andy Warhol was commissioned by Martini & Rossi in 1956 to develop an advertising campaign which ran until 1963. In using his “blotted line” technique, Warhol created a series of advertisements promoting vermouth cocktail usage in the US and today, Martini & Rossi honors him with the MARTINI FACTORY COCKTAILS.
The Warhol-inspired cocktails take Martini & Rossi Vermouth into a bold new direction complimenting Warhol’s progressive style. Drinks include the “Celebrity Crush,” “Bohemian Cocktail,” “Pop Art ‘Tini,” “Velvet Edie,” “Factory Martini,” and “Warhol Manhattan.” These will be served during the exhibit dates.
On Wednesday, November 19th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Whiskey Sky and Altitude will host the opening of the exhibit with a cocktail reception.
