Walnut Hill Theater Department - the Emperor's New Clothes: the Musical February 7, 2009

The Walnut Hill Theater Department presents a Caribbean version of this classic tale. Jasmin's birthday wish is to make sand castles and wear her new beautiful simple sash. The ultra-fashionable Emperor threatens to derail Jasmin's day until a "magic" tailor swims ashore with his own ideas for a clothing line... to everyone's shock! Caribbean-calypso, reggae and ska rhythms and even a hat-and-cane number all help teach that clothes don't make the human.
