New! History Center Director Bill Martin leads a free walking tour of Richmond’s Highland Park neighborhood, one of the original streetcar suburbs. Located on a hill overlooking Shockoe Valley, Highland Park dates to the 1890s and includes one of the city’s first retail districts, Six Points. Walkers will tour homes, stop for coffee at the old Fire Station (now a restaurant) and multiple retail spaces, and will be joined by residents and staff from Boaz and Ruth, where the tour will culminate with refreshments and shopping.
