Brain Injury Association of Vermont (BIAVT) announces the launch of its milestone 10th Annual Walk For Thought, the state’s largest walk in support of Vermonters with brain injuries and their families. Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th, participants will walk either ½, 1, or 3 miles through Burlington’s beautiful Oakledge Park and bike path along the lakeshore. The walk is organized to raise statewide awareness of brain injury prevention and raise money in support of brain injury survivors, research, education and advocacy.
BIAVT encourages to form teams and recruit friends, families and coworkers to support their Walk For Thought. Registration and information is available online at http://biavt.donorpages.com/WalkforThought2012/. Information is also available by emailing support1@biavt.org or calling 1-877-856-1772. Walk For Thought will be held rain or shine. The route is wheelchair-accessible and will include 3 water stations. Check-in will be held from 9:00-9:50 a.m.
