Walk for Hope Phoenix October 2, 2011

Participate in City of Hope’s Walk for Hope Phoenix Walk for Hope Nationally Presented by Staples in Phoenix and help discover new treatments and ultimately a cure for women suffering from breast and gynecological cancers. This year, there will be more than 290,000 new cases of women’s cancers in the U.S. City of Hope knows that fighting one woman’s cancer at a time is not enough. Walk for Hope Phoenix, held Oct. 2, at SRP with portions of the route travelling through The Phoenix Zoo, supports City of Hope’s multidisciplinary Women’s Cancers Program and is part of the nation’s only series of walks that benefit research, treatment and education programs for cancers unique to women. This year’s Walk for Hope Phoenix will feature an array of activities including sponsor giveaways, a survivors’ pavilion, music and entertainment, a kids’ zone, team photos and more. Event day registration opens at 6 a.m. The 5k timed run begins at 7 a.m. and the 5k leisure walk begins at 7:15 a.m.
