Do you share a vision of a community that welcomes all of its members? The Branigan Cultural Center and The Las Cruces Museum of Art are hosting a public reading of “Waddie Welcome & the Beloved Community,” a story of friendships that transcended divisions of disability, race, and income. Caring citizens of Las Cruces are invited to hear the story and discover what lessons it holds for our community.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Branigan Cultural Center. The “Waddie Welcome” reading is supported by Campo Behavioral Health and the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council Grassroots Network.
Don’t miss this important event that is sure to provoke deep reflection about community, friendship and empowerment, and perhaps inspire true transformation of our perceptions, relationships and community.
