Waag Society Experience Night November 6, 2010

On 6 November the 11th museum night will be held in Amsterdam. Traditionally the Waag participates in this night, being one of the few non-museums. This year we will bring the Waag Experience Night.

This edition will be all about experimenting. It is the place in which in the 17th century the first anatomic lessons took place under the supervision of Professor Frederik Ruysch. Anno 2010 we will experiment with technology and new media. During the museum night you can discover the differences and similarities in the Waag Society Experience Night.

Waag Society Lab Experience
Until midnight, you can explore the experiments of the Waag Society Lab section: prototypes and gadgets presented by the people that developed them. The Fablab is also open, where you can engrave your mobile with the lasercutter.

Theatrum Anatomicum in the dark
Every whole hour we organize the Theatrum Anatomicum in the Dark on the second floor in the historic hall from 1690. We will bring you back to the age of the of the anatomic lesson and you can and you can discover the story behind the criminals that became an object of study after their death.
