W Los Angeles - Westwood celebrates WESTWOOD LIVE! April 21, 2011

Showcasing the city's rich creativity and diversity in the community, Westwood LIVE brings together music, art, theater, shopping, and dining. Located in Westwood Village, shops, bars restaurants and more will provide guests with live performances by resident musicians and artists along with special happy hour offers, discounts and screenings.

Increasingly vibrant and changing, Westwood's expansive history includes being the center of many movie premieres and home to several vintage theaters, museums and culturally-based restaurants and boutiques.

As one of the many destinations during Westwood LIVE, W Los Angeles – Westwood currently hosts popular events including Swim at ESCAPE, a night-time lounge event at its famed WET pool. Locals and hotel guests alike can sip hand-crafted cocktails, dine on delectable dishes created by new Executive Chef Dakota Weiss and take an evening swim while listening to tunes by Los Angeles-based DJ Michelle Pesce. There is no admission fee to attend Swim at ESCAPE, and it’s open to all guests from 5PM until 10PM. To cool off from the California heat, the hotel’s NINETHIRTY restaurant will extend its $9.30 happy hour menu until 9PM.

To continue the celebration, Whiskey Blue at W Los Angeles - Westwood will host Westwood LIVE’s official after-party starting at 9PM. Whiskey Blue will provide sounds from local DJs, extend happy hour and offer specialty cocktails. Whiskey Blue, the artful and Polynesian-designed bar, is the perfect location to mix and mingle with other art and music loving individuals. Discounted valet parking will be available to patrons for $7.
