Between now and August 1, Southern Nevada residents who volunteer their time to local service organizations will be eligible for free admission to the Springs Preserve as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance Celebration.
In conjunction with the Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada, the Springs Preserve is offering free admission on September 11 to Southern Nevadans who give two or more hours of their time to participating organizations listed at VolunteerCenterSN.org.
After completing their service any time between now through August 1, volunteers will receive a voucher to redeem for free admission to the Springs Preserve on the National Day of Service and Remembrance, September 11. The ticket will entitle the bearer to admission to all Springs Preserve exhibits and attractions.
Volunteers who are unable to use their tickets can donate them to another charitable organization. Volunteers are limited to one voucher and ticket per person, and tickets are valid only for September 11.
The VolunteerVEGAS program honors the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, signed into law by President Obama in April 2009. The act established September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
We hope you’ll join us in support of our community and the many organizations that provide vital services to those most in need. By sharing your time and talents you help us to build a stronger, healthier and safer community.
