Help us help them! Members of NJYP will be working together to help Friends of Princeton Open Space. FOPOS is a non-profit that works on acquiring open space for preservation, protecting natural resources, maintaining and extending trails and providing environmental education. On this spring day we will go on a short nature walk through Mountain Lakes Preserve then all will be involved in invasive plant removal. After volunteering you will leave with new friends and a feeling of accomplishment :).
Schedule:
10:00am Check-In
1:00pm Shift Ends (you can stay later if you wish)
What to wear:
Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. You will be working outside so please bring layers if it is damp or cold outside. You can keep your extra clothing in your car as parking will always be close by.
Who Can Attend::
This is a Members only volunteer event. Please pay your dues then RSVP if you wish to attend.
What to Bring:
A bagged lunch/snacks and any beverages you may need.
Gardening gloves, hand pruners or loppers.
Directions/Parking:
The group will be working at the Mountain Lakes Preserve. Meet at the Mountain Ave Parking lot; It is marked by a large sign at the lot entrance that reads "Mountain Lakes Preserve" and "Community Park North". You will be meeting with AeLin.
