VOLUME: Posters & Art from Jay Vollmar’s Basement August 1, 2008

Illustrator, screen printer and 3D artist, Jay Vollmar will show a variety of work pulled from the depths of his collection. Students are invited to stop by at 4:30 pm, before the opening, for an informal chat with Vollmar about printmaking and graphic design.

Vollmar, art Director for Denver’s Westword, creates work that is vivid, dark, and often found on gig posters, as the list of bands he’s inked for is long. His attention-grabbing style has done just that on many Westword covers and has been featured in Art of Modern Rock, Communication Arts and Print Magazines.
