Voices of Resistance Eight August 9, 2009

The Old Town School of Folk Music in partnership with the South Asian Progressive Action Collective (SAPAC) presents the Voices of Resistance Eight (VOR8), an annual SAPAC event in its eighth rendition. VOR8 creates a safe space for local artists of South Asian descent to use their art as a dynamic means of social commentary that empowers and transforms. This event will present an array of musicians, performance artists, and visual artists dedicated to creating awareness for South Asian concerns. SAPAC is a volunteer-run collective that strives to raise a South Asian voice for justice and equality.
