Vocalist Judy Wexler has burst onto the national jazz scene with her second critically-acclaimed CD release, "Dreams and Shadows". She's hardly a newcomer to jazz, however, with years of experience and experimentation honing her craft. Judy Wexler is a natural storyteller, with a distinctive voice, full of shadings and emotional immediacy. She chooses a cliché-free repertoire which adds to her ability to take her songs into uncharted territory.
Based in the Los Angeles area, Judy makes a special weekend appearance at Berkeley's Caffe Trieste, a relaxed, casual setting for music. The concert includes a special appearance by well-known saxophonist Anton Schwartz as well as Murray Low (piano) and Peter Barshay (bass).
