Marilyn Monroe stars as Sugar Kane, a ukulele-playing vocalist in an all-girl band who is unlucky in love. Musicians Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon have their own problems; impersonating women they join the band on a wild journey through boozy speakeasies from the 1929 gangster-ridden Chicago winter to Miami Beach.
