Information on preventive medicine, screenings and displays to help you live an active, healthy lifestyle in 2012 will be offered during the Vistancia Health Festival from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Vistancia community in Peoria.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Vistancia Mountain Vista Club parking area located at 29701 E. Sunrise Point within the community. Vistancia is located northwest of Lake Pleasant Road and Happy Valley Parkway.
Health and wellness assessments, a rock climbing wall, kids’ bounce houses, a racing simulator, crafts and other local exhibits will be featured. Event goers can also compete in a hole-in-one challenge to win $10,000.
In addition, a one-mile walk to benefit Childhelp, Vistancia Elementary, Lake Pleasant Elementary and Team Wish, will get underway at 11 a.m. at the community’s Discovery Trail. There is a $20 donation per family or a $10 donation per individual. Participants may designate the organization of their choice from among the four charities. Pre-register at www.communitycaresexpo.com or on the day of the event. All participants will receive a free gift bag.

To reach Vistancia, take the Loop 101 and exit at 67th Avenue. Turn north on 67th to Happy Valley Parkway, turn west on Happy Valley Parkway and drive nine miles into Vistancia.
