Visitmesa.com Basketball Challenge December 28, 2009

In its 3rd year of existence, the VisitMesa.com Basketball Challenge (VMBC) is a 16-team boys' varsity basketball tournament held at Mountain View High School in Mesa. Scheduled December 28-31, the VMBC features (in-state) Gilbert Highland, Gilbert Mesquite, Mesa Red Mountain, Mesa Mountain View, Phoenix Sunnyslope, Phoenix St. Mary's, Phoenix Mountain Pointe, Chandler, Goodyear Estrella Foothills, Scottsdale Chaparral, Mesa Dobson, and Tucson Santa Rita. The four out-of-state schools are De La Salle/Concord, CA; Ocean View/Huntington Beach, CA; Canyon Springs/North Las Vegas, NV; North Lawndale College Prep/Chicago, IL. First game each day is at 9a with the final game scheduled for 8:30p. Check out the website for team capsules, photos, and box scores from last year's tournament.
