A coked-out whore. Her three desperate visitors. Xmas Eve. St. Louis. 1937. These four characters first appeared in Tennessee Williams' second play 'The Fugitive Kind' in 1937. Since there are 30 parts in that play, there isn't much character information. This play, instead, pays homage to the style, poetic voice and thematic concerns of the 26 year old Williams. It is not dependent on familiarity with the earlier play.
