UNM Continuing Education invites you to experience the unique geothermal hot springs at Sierra Grande Mineral Baths on February 20-21, 2010. A $210 fee includes overnight stay, a bath for each day and travel. This region has for centuries been an important place of healing and gathering. Native Americans used these springs as a neutral healing ground after battles referring to them with reverence as “Grandmother” because of the soothing and beneficial properties of the waters. Today people from across the globe arrive in T or C to take part in the natural healing power of these fabulous springs. The spa’s multiple private pools rise in temperature as high as 107 degrees Fahrenheit and have a particularly beneficial (and odorless) combination of over thirty-five minerals, each offering a specific healing property. Extras may be purchased. For more information visit dce.unm.edu or call 277-0563.
