Visit Historic Wray Home Decorated for the Holidays December 4, 2008

Visit historic 1930s Wray Home decorated for the holidays from Friday, November 28 through December 31 (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Enjoy guided tours of Wray Home, free with admission to the Gardens, from 10 am to 4 pm. Santa comes to Wray Home on Saturday, December 20, from 10am to 1 pm and on Sunday, December 21, from 1pm to 4pm. Bring your camera for a keepsake photo, or photos will be available if you prefer. Saturday, December 20, from 12 noon to 2 pm, get into the holiday spirit with a special live holiday concert featuring Violins in Motion. Voted best place to take out-of-town guests for many years, it's a great place to take visitors to show them the charms of old Florida. A treat for children while they're on winter break, all ages delight in the beautiful botanical gardens, native animal and bird exhibits including a free-flight aviary, and live Wildlife Encounter Shows. You'll find unique gifts when you stop to shop at the Gift and Garden Shops, the Tropical Marketplace, and Gift Fruit Shipping is available. You can have lunch and snacks at the scenic Flamingo Cafe, so plan on spending the whole day Flamingo Gardens & Wildlife Sanctuary, 3750 S Flamingo Road, Davie (between I-595 and Griffin Road), open 9:30-5:30 except Christmas Day. Admission is $17 ages 12 and up, $8.50 children 4-11, children under 4 are free; the tour by tram is additional and runs on the hour from 11-4.
