Virginia Historical Society Free Family Day Open House July 17, 2010

The Virginia Historical Society invites the community to attend an event filled with music, games, crafts, historical demonstrations, and much more. The theme is the World War II era to correspond with the current exhibition Memories of World War II: Photographs from the Archives of The Associated Press. Admission and all activities are free.

• World War II military vehicle displays by Air Ground Operations Group
• Dance demonstrations by Rigby’s Jig Dance Studio
• Music by the Swizzle Stix
• Behind-the-scenes tours of the VHS
• Children’s crafts and activities
• Interactive Virginia history trivia contests
• Food tastings of Virginia-made products
• Register-to-win prizes
• Boka Truck will be selling food and drink mid-day and ice cream will be available for purchase in the afternoon
