Denver, CO - Part flesh, part felt and packed with heart, “Avenue Q” is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut (need we say more?), and other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life! Avenue Q is the winner of the Tony® “Triple Crown” - Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book and is rated “WTF” for colorful language and full puppet nudity.

Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx began writing “Avenue Q” in the BMI Workshop in 1999, thinking it was a great idea for a TV series. Three years later it was produced Off-Broadway, Broadway, Las Vegas and London. “Avenue Q” won the 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and a Grammy nomination for its Original Cast Album.
Robert Lopez’s wickedly comic songs are currently spicing up the acclaimed, Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Book of Mormon.
Jeff Whitty won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for “Avenue Q.” Plays include The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler, The Hiding Place, The Plank Project, Balls, and Suicide Weather.
