On Saturday, November 13th, Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro will continue its journey around the globe with food and drink from the largest wine-producing area in the eastern United States: New York’s Finger Lakes.
Executive Chef Bo Palker has created an authentic menu of Cornmeal dusted Perch with brown butter & capers, Steamers in white wine fennel broth, Baked Clams with patio herbs, heirloom tomatoes and parmesan and Sautéed Shrimp with toasted garlic and Pernod. Sommelier/General Manager Jason Meringolo has carefully selected wine pairings from the region, an area with a lush, stable growing environment for many grapes, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc and several Vitis labrusca varieties. Guests can enjoy dinner in Vinifera’s intimate dining room or on the outdoor patio amidst the fall foliage and new glass firepits, weather permitting.
“Vinifera’s World Tour” is a monthly dinner series that started in 2009 and has since gained immense popularity. Attendees will receive a Vinifera passport and a stamp for the specific country/region featured at their dinner. After receiving three passport stamps, patrons will be entered into a drawing to win an overnight stay at The Westin Reston Heights and a breakfast for two at Vinifera.
Reservations for “Vinifera’s World Tour” are recommended and can be made between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. To reserve a table, please call 703.234.3550 or visit www.viniferabistro.com.
