MLLE. MODISTE -- The Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents a staged concert production of this operetta by Henry Blossom and Victor Herbert. The plot follows the aspirations of Fifi, a salesgirl in a Paris hat shop. Her romance with Capt. Etienne de Bouvray is opposed by his aristocratic, determined uncle. A rich American takes a liking to Fifi and pays for her voice lessons. Fifi performs at the palatial residence of Etienne's family, winning their support for her marriage to Etienne. This lovely musical features the songs "Kiss Me Again" and "I Want What I Want When I Want It." Performances Sept. 2 and 3, 8 p.m. and September 4, 2 p.m. at the F.
