A must-see attraction for Labor Day Weekend is the Cuyahoga County Engineer’s self-guided, walking tour of the lower level of the Veterans Memorial Bridge and subway. This free tour takes place on Saturday, September 2, 2006 and is open to all ages. According to Robert C. Klaiber, Jr., P.E., P.S., Cuyahoga County Engineer, interested parties are to arrive any time between the hours of operation, which are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
"The increased interest in these tours amazes us each and every year," states Bob Klaiber. "This past May, around 900 people came out on a gorgeous Saturday to experience what people of Cleveland have been talking about for years." New additions and experiences are added each and every year to this historic piece of the City of Cleveland.
The tour begins at the Cuyahoga County Engineer’s Bridge Garage, located at 2433 Superior Viaduct. Parking is available. Reservations are not required, cameras are encouraged and the tour is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
