Versus New Show “Beer 30” to Host Live Taping and Search for Co-host at Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill December 13, 2010

Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill is set to host a “Man-Thelon” competition in search of a co-host to join ESPN’s RJ Choppy for the new VERSUS network’s “Beer 30” sports and comedy show.

“Beer 30” is looking to fill the void of the guy-themed show since the days of “The Best Damn Sports Show Period” and Comedy Central’s “The Man Show.” Versus is holding open tryouts for the show’s co-host position with a series of competitive events called “The Beer 30 Man-Thelon.” Contestants will be judged on special challenges including sports trivia, best 3-minute standup comedy skit and loudest crowd ovation.

The three finalists from Boston will then travel to Dallas to compete against finalists from four other cities to determine the new co-host of Beer 30. ESPN Dallas radio personality RJ Choppy has already been secured as the show’s other co-host.

Beer 30’s production crew will be in attendance filming the competition and crowd attendees, and will use that footage for the show premiere on Versus.
