This annual festival begins with a day full of sewing classes, which continue throughout the event, and an evening "Champagne and Chocolate" preview. The rest of the weekend is filled with all things quilting. Attendees can have quilts of any age appraised and there is a special historical examination session for pre-1960 pieces. Special exhibits, including a showcase by Connecticut quilter and fabric painter Mickey Lawler, lectures, gallery talks and vendors provide something for anyone interested in quilting, from the passive to the experienced. Classes and certain special events require an additional fee.
