Vegetable Field Day June 20, 2009

Vegetable Field Day is an educational event geared toward home gardeners that is sponsored by the La-Terre Master Gardeners and the LSU AgCenter in cooperation with the USDA Sugarcane Research Station.

We will have a tour of our demonstration vegetable garden while discussing the best management practices suggested by the LSU AgCenter to have a productive home garden. Free horticulture information will be distributed to those who attend.

The Master Gardeners are hosting the "Largest Tomato Contest" and the "Ugliest Tomato Contest" at this event. Bring in your largest or ugliest tomatoes to see if you win.
