New Show Opens Off-Broadway; "VEGAS ON BROADWAY:ELVIS"
Show pays homage to the 30th Anniversary of the Passing of the King of Rock & Roll with a tribute to his 1972 Madison Square Garden Concert Series
JULY 2007; Ha! Comedy Club in Times Square is pleased to announce its' new theatrical presentation of "Vegas on Broadway: Elvis." Elvis Presley died in his Memphis mansion on 16 August 1977, at the age of 42. This year marks the 30th anniversary of his passing. The iconic status he achieved in his lifetime coupled with a sudden and relatively early death cemented his position as one of the most famous rock stars ever. This new off-Broadway show celebrates the life of the King of Rock & Roll self and captures the on stage excitement of Elvis' performances in his 1972 concert series at Madison Square Garden. During these memorable concerts, Elvis Presley returned to New York City for his first performances here since an Ed Sullivan Show appearance in late 1956.
