If you are like many founders and early stage CEOs, you can't wait to demo what you're developing. A great demo can excite investors and make them want to learn more about your business. A bad demo can be a serious turn-off. What are the elements of a great demo? What are the common, avoidable mistakes that many founders make?((

Startup CEOs are invited to participate in the VC Taskforce's demo workshop. Attendees who demo their product or service will receive expert feedback on how to craft the right demo to capture investor interest. Turn dull technical drill downs into dazzling, compelling demonstrations sure to gain interest and buzz.

Logistics: Demos may utilize computer projection or actual physical products. Companies using standard VGA computer projection should bring their own laptops (Mac or PC) configured to run their software. Internet connection will be provided.

Event Format:
* 8 companies will each demo their product and will receive feedback from a panel of VC and startup marketing experts.

Each demo will last five minutes maximum. The panel will provide five minutes of feedback on focus, clarity, content, context, pacing, and overall meaningful impact. Following individual demos, Peter Cohan, an expert in technology demos, will summarize demo "best practices" for presenters.

Panelists:
Peter Cohan, author of Great Demo! How to Create and Execute Stunning Software Demonstrations
Ronald Weissman, a venture capital [Apax Partners] and angel investor [Band of Angels] who regularly offers investment pitch training workshops for VC Taskforce
Mary Etta Eaton, "Pitch Doc" startup mentor & communications coach/instructor, Stanford University School of Engineering
Bill Reichert, Managing Director, Garage Technologies Ventures
