In response to the "new economy", Way Out Wax is reassessing its priorities. After a multi-year focus on wholesale manufacturing including high volume contracts with "Big Box" retailers, it became increasingly apparent that their handcrafted products can't play the "how low can you go?" price game. Instead of competing head-to-head with goods made overseas, they are choosing to direct their efforts toward different markets: specialty and gift markets, health conscious natural products markets and direct-to-consumer.
