Vassily Primakov?s performances incorporate dazzling, nearly superhuman passion with sensitive poetry. When he was eleven, Vassily, a Russian native, commenced his distinguished musical career by entering Moscow's Central Special Music School. After performing throughout Russia and Eastern Europe and winning several prestigious competitions, he came to the U.S. to continue his studies at Juilliard. Vassily has performed recitals and as concerto soloist throughout the States. He made his New York concert debut in May 2004 at Alice Tully Hall with Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto, which the New York Times called a "fiery performance?with bold, expressive phrasing and dramatic commitment that brought the audience to its feet."
