Vaquero Football Home Game: SBCC vs. Compton Community College September 14, 2012

Santa Barbara City College Athletics invites the community to come out and enjoy some Vaquero football as SBCC plays against Compton Community College. Vaquero football offers attendees an exciting environment filled with team spirit, friendly competition, a live DJ, and delicious food available from a full BBQ restaurant. Santa Barbara City College Athletics encourages the Santa Barbara Community to show their support for student athletes by enjoying a night out at La Playa Stadium.

During each home game, Santa Barbara City College will honor an individual or group from the Santa Barbara Area as the ‘Horary Vaquero Captain (HVC)’ for their demonstration of strength, courage, and spirit. At the September 14 game, Abraham Moreno from the Santa Barbara Special Olympics will be on hand to provide information on the organization. The honorary captain will represent SBCC in the pre-game coin toss and be introduced to the crowd at halftime.
