Vancouver Singles Summer Hike Mount Seymour July 11, 2010

Join MMA and other outdoor loving singles as we step off the beaten path and head into the “wild unknown” to explore Dog Mountain in Mount Seymour Provincial Park. Our experienced trail guide will lead us through awe-inspiring old-growth and second-growth firs, cedar and hemlock; past meadows and small lakes; as well as by towering rock faces en route to panoramic views overlooking Vancouver and the Seymour River.

You’ll want to have your camera handy not just for the views but also because we may also spot various types of wildlife along the trails. From coyotes, deer, black bears and cougars to birdlife such as ravens, Canadian jays, Steller’s jays, chickadees, kinglets, sapsuckers, grouse and siskins.

Once we’re at the top we’ll stop for a well-earned lunch break before heading back the way we came and enjoying the scenery as we descend back towards the main trail head of the park. So if you’re craving an escape and a day of hiking in the wilderness while meeting some great new friends is the answer, then this is the adventure for you!
