Calling all NERDS.

The Vancouver Poetry Slam presents the first ever Vancouver Nerd Poetry Slam.

Come hear odes, tributes, rants, and more about your favourite Nerd obsession. It could be comic books, speculative fiction, horror movies, pez dispensers, 8 track tapes, holding your breath and its effects on the brain, dope testing, sports collectibles, gaming, string theory, chemistry, psychedelic drugs, conspiracies...it doesn't matter. Just come share.

As well our feature will be Steve Sauve from Ottawa, Ontario...Steve Sauvé is an active member of Ottawa's literary scene and has performed in various cities, including Vancouver, Toronto, and Detroit. He has performed on several CD compilations (including all of Ottawa's Live at Capital Slam CDs), and also has a full-length CD of his own entitled Steve Sauvé Does It With His Glasses On. Steve is tall and gangly, but collapses easily for convenient storage under the bed. Steve's interests include independent films, experimental novels, and writing about himself in the third person.

Doors and poet sign up at 8pm. The show starts just before 9 o'clock with an open mic.
