Vancouver Green Drinks June 16, 2009

Happy June fellow Greendrinkers!!!!
This month we will meet on June 30th at the Salmon Creek Burgerville. Let's help them with their alcohol experiment. That's right-this Burgerville only has recently started serving beer and wine. They have 4 different kinds of beer and 6 different kinds of wine. This is a great opportunity for Greendrinks to support this fantastic green business that is well known for buying local, supporting local causes, serving on compostable ware, and composting food scraps. Need I say more? Well who doesn't love their mocha perks milkshakes, black bean burgers, or their strawberry shortcakes?
Like usual our intros will start @ 6PM in the sun room at the west side of the restaurant. Feel free to gather earlier.
Our 5 Min spiel will be a tag team effort. Jessica Antoine from City of Vancouver Urban Forestry and Brooke Davidson from Friends of Trees will speak about their combined efforts to increase the tree canopy cover in our areas. Check out their websites.
