Valley Girls Tuesday Night Book Club is about enjoyable reading for women who want to experience good books--period. Doesn't matter the author, genre or medium. We will move around between fiction, mysteries, memoirs and so on. Books we've read in the past include: What the Dead Know, Eat, Pray, Love, Water for Elephants, Friday Night Knitting Club, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, The Help, Loving Frank, The Lovely Bones, Sarah's Key, Bitter is the New Black, and The Revenge of the Kudzu Debutantes.
We will change venues occasionally depending on the book and the weather.
As of January 2010 there will be a meeting fee of $2 to help cover costs as the annual Meetup fee is $144.
This is important: YOU MUST READ THE BOOK IF YOU ARE GOING TO ATTEND THE MEETUP. If you can, try to finish it. It's not always possible, but we don't want to ruin the ending for you at the Meetup.
To reserve your seat, you MUST join the book club through our web page at http://www.meetup.com/Valley-Girls-Tuesday-Night-Book-Club-Meetup/ and RSVP to each meeting separately.
